Ryan Hinman, Director
Ryan Hinman received his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Macomb Community College, where he was a member of The Macombers show choir for two years. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education K-12 from Oakland University, and was a member of the Oakland University Chorus and Chorale under the direction of Dr. Michael Mitchell. He studied voice with Janice Albright for four years, has played piano for 20+ years, and also plays trombone.
He recently appeared in a production of "Seussical"™, with the Bloomfield Players Community Theatre.Ryan's short-term goals for Sing Out Detroit are "to grow our membership and get our name out into the community. Long term, I'd like us to be one of the premier LGBT choirs, giving performances at venues outside of the metro Detroit area."
We welcome Ryan’s enthusiasm and no-nonsense approach in directing us to be the best we can be.
